Sounds about right. He'll probably throw the word beautiful in there as well.

It's a weird choice by Trump because it's going to probably further complicate his already vastly confusing immigration position by introducing an outside agent into it. I feel like it's almost a certainty that both of them come out today and say some positive things about each other and their relationship, Trump comes out tomorrow and restates his position, and Nieto says 'Wait, that's not at all what we discussed yesterday.' It's one thing to flip-flop when you're talking to voters and the media, it's another thing entirely to flip-flop once you've started talking to international leaders.

Quickly learning why Nieto has a 23% approval rating. He just legitimized Trump's craziness.

I'm watching Trump's press conference from Mexico right now and it is so bizarre. It sounds like Trump has been drugged. He isn't himself. There is no passion in his voice and he is pretty monotone. It is almost as if someone has a gun to his back.

Trump is going on about keeping jobs in the 'hemisphere'. Pretty huge change from railing on Mexico and saying the jobs should stay in the U.S. Now it's just keeping the jobs in the 'hemisphere'.
And they discussed the wall, but not who will pay for it.
He sure acts like a tough guy on his home soil, throwing insults around. Put him in a foreign country with an international leader and he's softer than butter. Where's all the tough talk??

But this is I guess the beauty of Trump artificially setting expectations at the level of "As long as he doesn't defecate in his pants, piss on the floor, or talk about wanting to bone his daughter", Trump went to Mexico and "looked Presidential".

But won't it be ready to play both him and his supporters by saying he looked "soft" and"whipped" by the Mexican President? Low energy. Where's Trump? #sleeping #sad

You obviously aren't aware how deep into cult mode most of his supporters are. Most of them on Twitter believe that was an all-time speech and move by a Presidential candidate. And predictably the media are falling over themselves to proclaim Trump "Presidential". Maybe his long con strategy here really was brilliant, make people think you're a 6 year old, and when you appear to be a 12 year old, it's a shocking growth.

True, jammies sig is as appropriate as ever. Unlike some who've proclaimed we're watching the downfall of the US I don't believe things are that bad but I do worry we're seeing a dramatic shift in how political races are run. The next few congressional and Senate elections could be a total gong show now that moronism has proven to be effective enough to get you a shot at the White House.

We set the bar so low that Trump merely behaving himself (aka, not going on a meaningless rant, not acting like a child) is considered "Presidential".
What the hell happened?

Did Trump behave himself, or did Xanax do the trick? That outta be the real question here.

Yeah, he looked like he was sleepy or something. He didn't look presidential, he looked like a guy that wanted a nap.

Trump acknowledged that the issue of his signature pledge to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border — a bid to curb illegal immigration — came up, but the two men "didn't discuss" who would pay for it.

What the hell was the point of the meeting then? Just going to sit here awkwardly and not talk about the giant elephant in the room...

Trump sounds like a drone whenever he's sticking tightly to a script, or when he reads from a teleprompter.

And of course, Trump lied. Again.
