I get that I don't need to open this thread, and I get that this board allows some diversity and doesn't like to completely shut out fans of other teams, but this seems a little over the top, no?

While we probably don't need an anticipation thread, just a news thread after the announcement would have sufficed, I can't possibly fathom how anyone could be upset by this. Who cares? It is news. News is slow. I don't like the Jets, but I'm kinda curious who it is. It is absurd to censor news from our rivals in case it offends someones delicate sensibilities.

I have no issues with it being announced, as it is hockey news, but it's the use of "we" and "Big News!". Only the locals should be referred to as we on this board, and some even have an issue with that.
