That video...I dont know what to say. Are these made by kids? I mean, mentally are they actually children.

There was one grown man in that video and he looked ashamed, was that his house? Were the rest of these idiots free-loading off of that man?

Thats what Kelowna strikes me as: My parents made a lot of money and now I'm going to sit on this beach because...Kelowna.

F that. It took me 30 minutes to get through that last video as I could only do it is small doses. I've done enough damage for one day.

I'm sure there are people in Kelowna as depicted in that video but it's not like they are at every corner. For me maybe the biggest thing was the sheer amount of backpackers, hobos, and homeless. You walk down the streets with your young children and some of these guys look like they just woke up in the ditch with soiled cloths, ratty hair, and a smoke burning between their fingers. Got a lot of; "Daddy is that a homeless person". None of them bothered us but it's just that there's a lot of them around.
It could be you notice more homeless in the Okanagan because the climate is more comfortable in the winter, and BC may have better social services.

Many of the backpackers could be people from Quebec that come in the summer to pick fruit, because no one local will take that very difficult work.

Why would they when they could be drinking their parents' beers and chilling on their parents' boats and relaxing in their parents' pool?

"girls clamour for my glam hammer"

I just filed that into the back of my mind for pint night this Friday. Looks like it's my new go-to after my buddy kept going about his "cleanest-meanest-p**is" (RIP Biggie smalls)

Both those videos are amazingly terrible. I lived in Kelowna for a couple of years and never once did I think I was on the 'west coast'...

Moka Only looks legitimately like Weird Al Yankovic in the second video, maybe they are parodies after all.

Well, I've been living in what is supposedly the heart of the Kelowna ghetto for a month now. I've encountered homeless people many, many times. Some a-holes, but a lot of them were nice. That isn't the point.

I don't know if this is true or not, but I've heard from multiple sources that many homeless were moved from Vancouver to other cities in the BC interior in preparation for the Olympics. Then you have that story a little while back about other provinces sending transients to BC on a one way bus ticket.

Couple that with the Okanagan climate and I can see why Kelowna has such a large homeless population. Not to mention the fact that it's damn near impossible to find affordable housing here.

The 'Kelownafornia' guys are not a parody, see below. Not just Kelowna, but BC in general has a cultural appropriation problem regarding California hip hop. Go to a lower mainland wedding, the second the DJ plays some Snopp Dogg a bunch of middle class 30 something white guys come out of the woodwork and start crip walking and talking about 'breaking off some tunes' from back in their 'hustlin' days.

Some of the scenes in that "Koolin" video are filmed in the Playa deal Sol resort/condo building. I just stayed there last week. The signs going out to the pool still say "Ass Allowed", and they showed them in that horrendous video too.

Lol the signs originally said "NO GLASS ALLOWED". Some mature and creative letter scraping has resulted in "ASS ALLOWED". So classy.

Well...I mean, no ass allowed would have been a pretty tight restriction. Colostomy bags only? Its kind of unreasonable.

"Yo dawg, you cant bring dat ass in here yo! We gots rules dawg!"

Or presumably something along those lines.

Dear lord, those videos...

Kelowna's a beautiful spot, but not a place I'd want to spend time in the bar. In addition to the everyday roided up wannabes, they have a legit gang and drug trafficking problem as well. And not just the little guys - lots of H.A. presence in that town.

Fortunately, they don't seem to go to wineries.

Not to mention the Christmas sweaters. What's up with that?

That last video is actually pretty funny if you turn the sound off and watch it.

The token female looks even more awkward without sick beats bumpin.
