No the developer is a moron. Costco was supposed to open over a year ago but pulled out because of the developer. Needless to say, multiple companies pulled out which brought down the ego of the developer and brought Costco back to the table.Traffic access was a huge fail before Costco opened. Now its even worse.

Is the prerequisite for a new Costco that it needs to be annoying to even get your car near, so that once you finally do you never want to leave?

I actually like small parking spaces and poorly designed traffic routes. It makes me want to stay home and save my money or if I really need to buy something, do more online shopping. I'd like to thank crazy Saturday traffic on 130th for all the money I saved. I'm hoping this new Costco is worse.

Now I can go for a bike ride and or camping and buy what I need online.

Just came back, it was pretty dead at check outs.
Don't mind the new location at East Hills.
Premium gas is price of regular @89 cents if anyone needs to fill up, even though the stores post something else.

Premium gas is 89.9, same price as regular at the new east hills location. Been the same price as regular since opening because a few pumps aren't shooting out regular. That's like a 25 cents saving for anyone around there who uses premium gas.

I don't know if I've been lucky but I've filled up three times and haven't waited one second in line. Been pretty dead at the gas station.

I have been driving past this new Costco and noticed that it appears to have been constructed with some type of space age material as it is very shiny

Yup. I went to this new East Hills for the first time yesterday. Also, for the last time. Someone looked at the giant fustercluck that Signal Hill Centre is and challenged themselves to do worse. And this damn thing is only what? 1/3 built?

Additionally - and this is also a WGMG - I absolutely hate it when developers use the improper American spelling of "center" on signage.

Oh oh, here we go. It's the opposite for me, I generally do not use British spelling although it is not a huge gear grinder for me when I see words mispelled spelled the British way.

Stopped at the new Costco yesterday when we were coming back from Chestermere. It is a nice store. Access to the shopping area is definitely short sighted. The store is nice and it was dead last night around 7pm. The store seemed a lot bigger than any of the other Costcos in Calgary and surrounding area. Another thing that they are missing is "speed bumps" at the end of the cart corrals in the parking lot. I think every other Costco has them so that carts don't roll out of the corral and into the parking lot lanes.
