The art work on some of the records I bought back in the 70's and 80's were worth the price of the LP itself. Some would have pages of lyrics and other information related to the music.

Somehow there is something missing with digital music.

I actually started getting back into buying CDs and vinyl records off Amazon. I find they sound a lot better than mp3s. I tried hooking up my computer to a DAC and then to my amp. CD quality still sounds a lot better IMO.

Totally true. When this thread meandered over to this subject matter Goodbye Yellow Brick Road was the first thing that popped into my head to demonstrate the point. Thanks for posting this.
Captain Fantastic also had a great outside cover (back and front).

Edit: I love the photo of Elton John looking like a deadbeat, drinking straight from the bottle on Social Disease and that's Bernie Taupin in the photo for Danny Bailey (awesome song!).

The only thing I hate to see is everyone walking around staring at their ####ing cellphones! If its so important get off the sidewalk or sit on the curb...you are in my way and if you run into me it is quite likely both your cellphone and some framework inside your skeleton will be broken.

Oh man. This can't be stressed enough how bad the new NHL.com is.

I miss the old TSN too. I don't like this new style of site where it's basically a twitter feed.

Speaking of Twitter feeds, really hope media axes the trend of putting tweets from fans or commenters on their articles, on feeds on their programs, or just reading them out loud. The general publics tweets are garbage. Texts too. I have no idea why the fan 960 still does what ya wanna talk about. The hosts can't stand doing it and its not funny.

While we're eliminating "WYWTA?", can we eliminate the Artist of the Day too? Even Pinder hates it, and so many artists have been done by this point that it's well into the dregs by now. A whole week of James Taylor was nauseating

The only time I think tweets should be read out loud is on Kimmels Mean Tweets bit.

Baseball players wearing high socks. It looks ridiculous, especially on R A Dickie with bright cerulean blue.
Flat-brimmed hats. I don't mind them I guess, but they're starting to take over and its hard to find regular styles now.

I still hate the format TSN changed to which was a copy of the ESPN new format which also sucks compared to the old one. I always have to navigate all over the page to find stuff when in the old format is was much easier to navigate.

While I appreciate that we have more platforms than ever to share ideas and information, I don’t like that some people get the idea that all opinions are valid, or, because they have an opinion, it is just as legitimate as someone else. People who are anti-vaccination, or anti GMO are specifically bad for this.

I thought this thread was for changes you hate to see. Some of the original team names were for what colour the stirrups/high socks were. e.g. White Sox, Red Sox, Red Stockings.

The first World Series was in 1903. Every single player wore high socks. They did this for about the first 90 years in baseball, as the pants were the knickerbocker style, and would only come to the knee. They didn't stop wearing knickerbockers and stirrups until the 1990s, when some MLB players started wearing the long pants.

There are a few players that still wear stirrups, and a few others that wear a high sock, both with knickerbockers. The vast majority wear the full pants to their ankles.
