If Dallas lands a good goalie they could be scary.

About $1 million more than I thought he'd get given where we are in the calendar. Good luck Jiri. He gave the Flames exactly what they paid for, and then some in 2014/15.

Certainly not a lot of risk, though, at this dollar figure and for just one year.

Great news, good luck Jiri. Will he be getting Seguin and Benn jerseys for the bulldogs?
Also, I hope this ends all the ridiculous Hudler/Glencross comparisons.

Good signing by Dallas. Won't help their lack of defensive minded forwards but he should fit in well there.

How can this be good? He will get offensive zone starts and rip it up on the PP on a deep Dallas team. 60+ points?
I wish he signed in the east. Good for him though, bad for Calgary

Haha Vancouver. The "win-now" nucks would have done well to land hudler on this kind of deal.

I think there are a lot of teams who will look at that contract later in the year and think "what if".
Good to see it happen for Hudler. Glad it worked out.

I don't understand how this is bad for Calgary. The Flames only play the Stars 3 times compared to 2 if he signed in the East. Is one game that big a difference? Also, Dallas will be first or second in the Central and will have no impact on the Flames going for third in the Pacific or a wild card.
You could even argue it will be good for Calgary since the Stars lighting up the Jets, Wild, or Lanche may help the Flames get a wild card.

Pfft, we don't need any help.
It's bad for us because the Western Conference Championship will be us Vs. Jiri.

You get 40-50 points of of Hudler and that contract is a bargain.

They won't make the 3rd round without a goalie overhaul. Until then they are wasting the talent of their forwards.
Good signing for Dallas, Hudler can be a Hemsky replacements for them. But Geezus they lost Demers, Goligoski and Russell (or Kevin if you look at it that way) and they're like. "Meh we probably have some AHL guys that can step in, right?"

Dallas is a good fit for him because he's going to be surrounded by quality offensive talent. In Vancouver he would have been depended on to create offense on his own which is a tall task at this stage of his career.

They'll pay a boatload for Bishop at some point during the season.

Probably a great deal. I though he was going to sign for $2MM AAV July 1, but since it took so long to sign a deal, I'm surprised he actually got $2MM.
