I'm not sure why Unblock-Us doesn't just completely exclude Netflix from the equation. It doesn't even work anyway. The only thing that people are using it for now is for other services like BBC, Hulu, etc. and having to toggle DNS servers to go between Netflix and the other stuff is a pain in the butt.

So I had been installing Kodi on my iPhone, but I guess after a week or so it stops working, so I have to re-install it. I have everything set up to install it easily, but only problem is I have to do it at my parents house which isn't a huge deal cuz we live pretty close, but it's getting annoying sometimes.

I may start to think about getting an actual Kodi box, so I was wondering which ones are good and how much should one spend for a quality box? Also should I wait for v.17 to be fully released? If I get one soon, can you easily install v.17?

I had the same issue and just bought a box. I went with this one. Not sure what to expect but I will keep you posted as I learn more. I am not a Kodi expert so I am not sure what I got myself into.

Kodi on the box works great way better than the side loaded Apple TV app.

Bad news I can't get Netflix to work. I can get into app but when I choose a movie it gets stuck on loading screen. Why does android have to make the simplest tasks the hardest

You should always start with a fresh install, imo. If a box comes preloaded, I'd be tempted to kill it and start fresh. An Android box should have Google Play Store on it. You install Kodi directly from there with one click.

Agreed. Kodi wasn't finding the right streams for me so I started from fresh and it all worked smoother. Still can't figure out Netflix though

Is it fully our yet? Wasn't it just the beta version for awhile or is that still fine?

I decided to return the Android box. Since Netflix is very important to the wife I am going to try one of the big players that has proper Netflix support.

Have you tried it at all? Big part I am hoping for is good live sports streaming. That seems to be the most work for the platform.

Try the following. It's not complicated at all.
https://seo-michael.co.uk/tutorial-h...n-a-firestick/

Once you have Kodi installed.
Install the following Video addons, and you should have any sport you can think of:
Pro-Sport
CastAway (make sure you specify the subreddits for sports streaming)
Sports Devil
Live Mix

Curious if you downloaded Netflix from. Play store, or was it installed (or the Kodi plugin)? I have two firesticks and love them. Wifi is excellent. But it definitely lacks horsepower. Also is a bit tricky to install Kodi, unless you have an android device with adb (is that right?) support.

Kodi app is an official download from Google play. You would have to sideload the beta of 17, but once it is officially released, it would automatically update to 17, like any other play store app.

Second this.
Kodi comes pre installed with a bunch of crap, in most android boxes. Run "fresh start" from within the Kodi program add-ons, or uninstall and download from the play store.

I downloaded it from the playstore. Stuck on the loading screen (apparently an issue with the cheap boxes). Tried using the Kodi Netflix apps as well to launch it and they didn't work either. I am going to go with the Amazon Fire box as it seems to have a bit more in the horsepower department

I had no issue finding the streams and had it all working just the sports streams would buffer and stutter a lot. Just wondering how the performance was on the stick since it doesn't have an Ethernet connection.
