The Leafs have invited Brandon Prust to camp on a PTO (tryout). The pursuit of toughness continues.

Chris Johnston ‏@reporterchris
Lou Lamoriello tells PTS that he sat down with Brandon Prust this summer before extending him a PTO with #Leafs. "There's no risk involved."

Prust has really fallen off recently. I think he'll be a stretch to make even a bad Toronto team.

This probably isn't the worst news to his Quebecois girlfriend.

A plug getting a PTO is thread worthy?

Or a former Flame that had a lot of fans here at one time. He was a pretty useful player for a while.

I liked him until he turned into a dbag. Elbowing Volchenkov in the head, a disgusting late hit head shot against Stepan that broke his jaw, spearing Marchand in the nuts. I lose all respect for players when they do crap like that.

Prust might not be the best example because he is very slow, but i hope going forward the flames sign 4th liners to PTO's. It gives the youngsters a chance at a spot and if they can't beat out a 4th line PTO player they don't deserve to be on team. Forget about the Stajan's and Bolligs getting paid millions to play 8 minutes a game and screwing up the cap situation.

I hope Prust doesn't make the Leafs. I hope he makes some team in Inner Mongolia instead.

FTFY. Maybe the producers of Hockey Wives wanted to replace the Winniks' spot on the leaf's hockey wives clique.
