Even though Fully Completely and Phantom Power are in heavy rotation on most of my playlists, I hadn't listened to Day for Night for quite a while until recently when I started re-visiting the Hip's back catalogue. Damn, what an album. Nautical Disaster is a ####ing masterpiece.

Perhaps someone (looking at you hwy19man) can provide clarity but what exactly does "reached" mean? That a theoretical max? Because that's what the 11 million number is.
The actual tv rating quoted later in the paragraph says 4 million.

4 million is the average over the 3 hours. 11 million is the number that watched any of it.
Not that it's a big deal I suppose, but I wish this thread would continue as a tribute to discuss the band and Gord instead of a pedantic talk about ratings. As exciting as that normally is.

4 mil is tv. 11 mil is reached all platforms. But reached is vague. I'm curious what exactly it means.
I could have swore that's how Canadian ratings have always broken down, just like nfotiu described. Lower number's the average, higher number is how many people watched any part of it.

C'mon, for now it's only Cecil, could you imagine if we could entice Corsi to join?! Oh, the fun that could be had then!.

cant it be both?
God forbid people discuss the ratings of one of the most important broadcasts on Canadian tv in the last 10 years!
I may have only set it to 15 after. I've been guilty of poor pvr choices before.
I've made this mistake too many times. Playoff games that go to OT, F1 with weather delays, shows that get pre-empted by shows that get their full showtime after a sports broadcast... No way was I making that mistake with this. I gave it the full three hours extra recording to ensure I got every encore, and also the possibility of some kind of CBC recap or special coverage afterward. Y'all failed. Hang your head in shame.

No fail. Near perfection actually. I watched them walk down the stairs twice before. All the music is captured. I'm sure I'll watch it again over the course of the week.

Aren't you the guy that had never heard a Hip song?

Oops. Should have quoted FKA. He deserves to hit a foul ball and smash out his own rear window.
