Good. Glad he's not in CHI. NYR have a solid group of young forwards coming in in the next couple of seasons. Vesey really bolsters their ranks. Will be a good fit along the likes of Buchenvich and Kovaks and others.

Annoying, but not unexpected. I figured that ship had sailed when he hadn't signed with us within a week or two of his rights coming over.
Oh well, was worth a shot.

The city must still sell for the players, because the team itself is a mess.

I just got back from spending a week there and I can see why people who live there say its the best city in the world.

If I was a young single man again I'd move there in a heartbeat.

Well, it's Manhattan. The city itself will always be a selling point.

So when the Leafs fire Vesey's dad? Some Leafs fans believe the major reason the Leafs hired him was to secure his son.

I can't see the NYR being a better team than NSH for the foreseeable future...winning wasn't the priority, obviously. This allows him to stay close to home, correct?

I wouldn't figure winning would be top priority for a young guy just coming into the league. Perhaps they offered him some good opportunity combined with playing close to home and living in one of the best cities on earth. I can see why its an attractive place for players.

As a hockey player, I would choose the place that features the best chance to win and stack up points.
