I agree that was strange.

Same bronze as last Olympics but the Canadians were much more impressive this time. Against France we were holding on the whole time playing defence. Against Brazil we took it too them and won as the superior team.

I'm very pleasantly surprised that Canada has done better than I expected in the medal count. I think we have 20 now with a possible BMX medal. The men's relay team could get a medal and we would tie our medal performance from Atlanta. Hopefully Brooke Henderson can get a medal as well. I'm impressed.

What other Canadian athletes are still in the games in the last two days?

And this in a year when we haven't done as well on the water as in other years (maybe it's the poo and random sofas)

21 medals is now 1 behind Atlanta for Canada's best showing at a non-boycotted Summer Olympics (third-best was 19 in Beijing).

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. Amazing how well we've done compared to previous totals, without the obligatory handful of rowing medals we usually have to buoy our medal count this time.

Especially impressive how our best events this year have been in the most popular Olympic events: swimming and track. They're held during prime time for a reason. Just makes it even more impressive for me, given the world attention on those particular events.

He got off to a really bad start which is a shame as he really came on hard at the end but had too much ground to make up.

Also, these were supposed to be the introductory Olympics for athletes like Oleksiak and De Grasse, with the real focus being on getting to the podium in Tokyo.

I don't know if this has been mentioned but Eric Lamaze got bronze in the Show Jumping. He previously has a gold from Beijing.

Sinclair is now officially in my top 3 favorite athletes ever.

But I think Tancredi is my favorite on the team. I love her determination and willingness to mix it up with the opponents, get in their grill, dish it out, take it. So awesome.

Well that was a disaster for Brooke Henderson, 3 putt double bogey from 5 feet. Unlikely she wins the tournament now, but she could still push for a medal.

Tancredi is a bull in a china shop, who has the skill to go with it. A special kind of player that doesn't come around often. Hate to play against her, but you love playing with her and she would do anything to help her team win.
