The worst customer service in Calgary? To me, it was 2005 to 2008. Not enough staff for places to man the stores, restaurants closing early or even during dinner rush. Those who were there were overworked, stressed or just didn't care. It's been better since then for sure.

It is actually more of a decrease in Management capabilities. At the Tim Horton's by my house the morning Manager is fantastic and the people working at that time are fast, efficient and rarely make a mistake. The night time manager is extremely slack and the service suffers.
I would not be surprised if instead of investing in Management training programs companies, companies would rather just hire someone new if something does not work out.

I would also accept, "turned into a very small xenophobic circle jerk" if you feel it's more apparent.
You know, not enough English, sensing low morale, amazingly telling TFW's from just regular people who don't happen to be white teenagers.
It's just funny.

The not-so-veiled racism/bigotry wasn't in the title though.
Blaming poor customer service on TFW is ridiculous. Are TFWs training the TFWs? Are TFWs owning the franchises that hire the TFW managers that train the TFW workers? Who do you think we should hold accountable?
When times are good no one wants to work the fast food, entry level jobs because they can make more money elsewhere. We then need TFWs to fill those jobs so everyone can continue stuffing their faces with fast food. They're brought in to fill a need but they're to blame if/when owners don't give them proper training.
As others have said, customer service hasn't been great for a while but I honestly don't see it being any better or worse than other Canadian cities.

Uh I would advise everyone here to change their posts so "racism" is corrected to "bigotry" or else Buster will be in here shortly to pedant you to death.

Ok so not sure what your point is? That I'm racist because I find there is bad customer service in Calgary and part of that reason is TFW? I never said it was the only reason but don't expect someone like you to understand that. It's racist to even think I even thought of the colour of their skin. They could be from Australia for all I care.
And yes it's very easy to tell someone is a TFW or not. Maybe I'm just really good at being a racist

oh man, did a TFW piss in your cornflakes today?
I would love to know the criteria you use to identify a TFW, of great knowledgeable brown one.

I never blamed just TFW for the bad customer service in Calgary. I said it's a big issue and I believe it is.
Why do you think customer service is declining? Ordinary Canadians don't want to work these low paying jobs like you said so tell me why you think it has declined over the years?

Personally, at the Timmy and McDonald next to my place is much better when the filipinos are working. Sometimes they recognize me as a regular customer and have my order ready as soon as I am done paying.
Even the teenagers working there are for the most part alright. Its usually the older women (like in the 40s/50s) that mess up my order.
Perhaps its not so much a Calgary wide issue with poor service than a specific issue to the Timmy or McDonald that you go to?

I find that the bolded is your opinion... It's not a fact. I've had pretty impeccable service. The worst service was back in 2008 - 2010 period.

I already replied to your last post regarding that so maybe read a little before your usual trolling of me. It doesn't bother me and it just makes you look bad. You really need to grow up.
