He knows a thing or two about winning, if there's ever any question.

Next time, simply decline the Jack Adams award.

Was only a matter of time with Patrick Roy. The guy wanted to be GM and Coach based on his time there. Roy was so confident he could coach the deficiencies out of Berra's game.
Next up, goaltending coach?

I think Roy found it hard to coach with two Stanley Cup rings stuffed in his ears and a Jack Adams trophy up his butt.

Finally the Avs might be good enough for Iggy to win that cup!

I heard Patrick say that Denver was like Montreal, only a nicer version.

Sakic's statement:
Sounds like Roy may have blindsided the Avs.

Oooh, it totally does sound like Roy surprised them.
All is not well in the house of Avalanche.

From the Denver Post:

Avalanche general manager Joe Sakic is on vacation and wasn’t immediately available for comment.

Roy ruined Sakic's vacation.

Great goalie, horrible human being with zero professional morals. Screws over the Av's because he doesn't get his way. Hope he ends up coaching the Habs and screws them over also.

Typical coward move from Roy - waits until Joe is on vacation and then bolts.

Love that statement. "They won't do things my way, so I'm out."
Of course, the reason why he wasn't getting much say in how the org is run is the fact that he was bad at his job.

Pat Roy is a DB, and unfortunately likely part of the problem in Colorado. Bad news for us.

But, apparently, not as a coach or executive

Has he forgiven the Habs, yet...Or does he still hold a grudge from his hissy fit quitting after one bad game in goal?
