That sucks for Harvey. She lost in the quarters 15-13. Apparently she beat the number one seed in an earlier round.

Fabian Cancellera owned the time trial to take gold. Froome got the bronze with Tom Dumoulin taking silver

Oleksiak 3rd in her heat. That was an insanely fast heat though, the winner seat an olympic record.

The semis for the Women's 100m Freestyle take place tonight, scheduled to begin at 7:12. Should be on CBC!

Oleksiak is such a good finisher of her races. It seems like after her last turn she moves up two or three places.

Has anyone found a decent schedule for events? The one on CBC seems way more complicated than in years past.

No, I've been using the one on CBC, and it's not very convenient to use.

Official Rio 2016 app is perfect, gives a schedule in MDT.

Wow Kierra Smith won her heat! She makes the semi finals with the 6th fastest time.

Lots of no shows for swimming today. Wonder if some of the water concerns are hitting athletes.

So no, there is no evidence for cupping. But there is also no strong evidence against cupping; more research is needed.

I don't perform cupping, I don't use it, and I don't recommend it. But to claim, with certainty, it does nothing is pseudoscience in itself. There are theories, however weak, to justify it's use (ie increases blood flow, a change in inflammatory markers, etc) so until it's disproven it isn't necessarily pseudoscience.

I would not want to play Fiji in any sport that involves tackling.

Honduras may be sending Argentina home in soccer. 1-0 and Argentina needs to win.
