I had a dream that Monahan and Gaudreau signed long-term, but then they both got injured. And it doubly sucked because I had them in my dream hockey pool.
Also, I am in a gang.

People really need to stop bumping this thread needlessly. Unless there are new bits of information to report or discuss, please let it alone.

And people need to realize that if theres actual information, sureLoss will start a new thread for it all, not bury it here

I'm not just speaking of news, here. Sureloss and others have provided links to thoughts, interviews and other items of interest that pertain to the ongoing discussion. It's the meaningless and redundant expressions of angst and hope that we could all do without.

This whole offseason is driving me nuts. Waiting for the Flames to sign Gaudreau and Monahan and waiting for my Chargers to sign Joey Bosa I can't get anything done. Half my life is spent refreshing Twitter to get any kind of update.

Burke gives an update:
http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/video/burke-th...rld-cup~931913
Summary:
"We pay players what is fair and not more than what is fair"
we are not going to change the rules for these 2 players or any other players
Predicts they will get signed before the World Cup, but if they don't they don't
He predicts they will sign one of them first then the other when asked if both will be signed at the same time
Not worried about it, both will get signed at numbers that make sense for us or they aren't going to sign

Burke is right but it's still a little jarring to hear it put that way. Hopefully no hard feelings at the end of this.

I love that 23 and 13 are Flames and I would love for them to be important pieces of th C of Red for many years to come. But, I'm really starting to get frustrated and lose a little respect for these two. Is Brad really offering 23 less than what the Jets RFA centre signed for? I just can't see it. Johnny is certainly worth a little more but could we be low-balling him that badly? I'm seriously starting to question if these two want to be part of a bigger picture or if they are looking to be stars before they've earned that right..
