Probably because those are in the water and it's pretty standard for guys to swim without a shirt on? It is funny that the women have to wear bikinis though. No complaints here

Not saying she's done. Saying she is trending to be done very soon.

Lol oh Polak. "Trending to be done very soon" is laughable. That's kind of up to her isn't it? She's playing much better than you think, she appears to enjoy the grind, she's playing smaller tournaments this year to get her ranking back up. Seems to me she's going to be still playing this time next year, hardly "done very soon". I know for you cheering in women's tennis has been a fruitless exercise between Genie and Radwanska, but it's not the apocalypse for Genie. If she keeps working on the mental game and finds her full confidence again, she'll be back in the top 20.

I fully think she went through a phase where she was enjoying the "celeb" life style. And didn't put in the work required.
But I think she he has seen that she needs to work harder and has started to come around.

I think she's Ana Ivanovic junior with a lower peak. Have a huge year when they're young (Edit: Whoops thought Ana was my age) then never make it back to the top after getting unbelievable attention. Ana turned it around late in her career. Genie could do that too I guess.
Edit: Reading more about Ana, I think it'd be a huge success if Genie could follow her career path.

I am going to have to agree with Polak here.
Everyone says that Genie's big thing is mental, but its so much more. She's got a below average serve in terms of power, not quite up there in terms of placement either and her backhand mechanics look awful (unless she works on it, its not going to be reliable enough). Her forehand while good, doesnt have the necessary power to truly unlock the other player's defense (I can see waterbugs like Cibulkova and Halep chasing her forehand down for days). She could fashion herself like a Radwanska type player, but I doubt she has the guile that Radwanska has shown thus far.
While I disagree that she's "done", I doubt she'll get to the highs of her 2014 season. Probably in the rotation of players that go in and out of the top 30.

The 2014 season is also really overrated when you actually look deeper than the major results. The fact she did so well made people think she was actually elite, when really she just performed well in the majors. She was pretty bang average or worse that year outside the majors.
And it's womens tennis. Technical ability is almost totally irrelevant. It's almost all mental for the women, yes you have the Serena's of the world who are simply exceptional athletes, but mostly womens tennis is all mental. It's why Radwanska and Halep can be consistent top 5 players, and yet also consistent bets to crash out of majors early. Genie is in the worst spot possible for draws we must remember, not high enough to get ranked, so she often gets brutal 2nd and 3rd round matchups. She needs to work her way out of it, but she's at least putting the effort it.

I'm really surprised that Canada couldn't play like this in the semi-final

A try is 5 points and 2 for the convert. So they are essentially down 3 trys. Mind you if you score you get the ball back. Or maybe you don't in 7's.
