Women's basketball: Canada 90-68 over China.
Tamara Tatham led Canada in scoring with 20 points.

Buchanan picks up a ridiculous second yellow of the tournament. She'll be out when Canada plays Germany on Tuesday to wrap up their group stage.
It's a silly rule, but that was even sillier booking for her to take.

It seems like most of Canada's medal hopes sre on women.
Not sure why the men in this country never do too well. Maybe less focus on hockey and more on other stuff would help (especially for those who cant really afford to out their kids through hockey).

This is one thing that I've always wondered about the Canadian Men's soccer program. The Woman's program has vastly improved and grown recently to the point where they are competitive on the international level. Our Men's program stinks though and it should be much better than it actually is. We have a diverse demographic that is filled with immigrants that have come from strong soccer regions and have grown up with the game yet we can't seem to put together a decent national team.

It's actually smart by her. She misses the Germany game (the game Canada wants to lose) and is clear on yellows for the quarter-finals. Because cards don't reset after the group stage it was a smart move by her.

I guess we'll see how Germany performs versus Australia today and how the group shapes out.
