Only feelings matter in this election. They feel that she's a liar so it must be true.

I think Clinton will actually be a pretty good President. That said, she is an awful candidate. Rubio or even Romney would probably run all over her.

As for the lying, we all know that she did it. We all know she is a careerist. We all know that she has made some awful decisions, and then pretended to have never made them. I hate it when people act like this is character defamation.

She has always been someone who plays fast and loose games with the truth.

Rubio and Romney? Are you kidding? Rubio who gulps down water mid sentence? Romney who got absolutely obliterated when he debated Obama?

But we're talking about Clinton here, not Obama.

But Clinton really did give Obama a tough ride 8 years ago.

They're fundamentally different candidates. If Clinton had delivered that line about fewer horses and bayonets and his sarcastic, "we now have these things called "aircraft carriers" where planes land on them", she'd be pilloried in just the same way Al Gore was for condescension because she just doesn't have Obama's natural affable way of delivering these messages.

Can you imagine if she had faced McCain? I mean, I like John McCain. Who does this these days? Can you imagine Trump, or hell, Ted Cruz making these statements?

Hillary is definitely a below average politician when it comes to the electioneering portion of things. She's much better at strategy and governance than she is at campaigning. If she were a natural like Bill or Obama, she probably would already be President and we might be talking about her as a great President. She just struggles to come off as personable, isn't a great storyteller and as we all know can be a little aggressive on the mic with her voice. It's definitely the weakest element of her game as a politician.

The question isn't does Clinton lie. Its Does Clinton lie more then say Ted Kennedy, the Bushes, Biden, Obama, Kerry, etc. Clinton I believe is targeted more for the half truth nature of our politicians then other similar politicians.

Is she worse then the average politician.

Then, when people compare her to Trump its just laughable.

So I would argue that the Clinton is a liar attack is a biased narrative because she is no more untrustworthy then any other politician.

I don't share you sentiment for liking McCain. It was pretty irresponsible for him to have unleashed Palin on the world. To me, that is unforgivable.

Trump has proven this election that there are indeed worse, stupider options out there than Sarah Palin. I betcha she knows more about policy than Trump does.

The FBI wasn't asked to look into charges of Perjury, hence why they didn't provide a recommendation on it. They were looking specifically at the emails portion.

The reason why Perjury came up, was that Hillary Clinton's statements during the Benghazi hearings said that: “nothing” in the more than 60,000 emails routed through her private server “was marked classified at the time I sent or received it.”

Those seem to be in direct contrast to Comey's statements that there were emails marked as classified sent/received.

Here is a link from the NY Times if you are concerned about the sourcing.

Politifact

Quote:
But Comey reported that, of the tens of thousands of emails investigators reviewed, 113 individual emails contained classified information, and three of them bore markings signifying their classification status. (Information can still be classified even if it does not have a label.) Eight email threads contained top-secret information, the highest level of classification, 36 contained secret information, and the remaining eight contained confidential information.

Oh god, so true.

10 times out of 10, I would prefer Palin over Trump.

But the perjury argument that Clinton sent emails marked classified and willfully lied about it hasn't changed since the disclosure of the 10k of emails. So why wasn't the perjury investigation started when the evidence first came up? It was known prior to the conclusion of the COmeny investigation that some were marked as classified prior to sending.

This is clearly an attempt to keep the item in the news as long as possible with no real interest in the pursuit of truth.

I wouldn't. I'd put a gun in my mouth if I had to pick either.

I absolutely agree with you that Palin was an indefensible choice. But I don't agree that that error, which was probably foisted on him by the RNC who were panicking about a fresh, exciting, news-grabbing Democratic candidate running against their stodgy old white guy as much as his idea, is "unforgivable" and you can never hold a positive opinion of the guy as a result. There is too much of this notion right now that unless a politician ticks every box and does nothing that pisses you off, they're basically Stalin. There are lots of Republican politicians who I disagree with on major issues, but who I think are well-intentioned and would probably be capable leaders even if I hope they lose. McCain is one of those.

Incidentally, I think his refusal to withdraw support for Trump is equally indefensible.

The problem with McCain is he probably should have retired after 2008. He's definitely regressed into old, white guy yelling at clouds over the last few years.

Of course he can, believe me, it's a beautiful house, amazing. He can see everything from his house. The great wall. He has perfect eyesight, it's unbelievable, he's the healthiest person ever to run for President. Strong as an ox, believe me.
