Trump is in the midst of the longest nervous breakdown in history.

I don't think Adams is a Trump supporter, he just thinks that Trump will win and that Trump is smarter than we give him credit. I haven't kept up to what he's been writing recently, but he certainly has an interesting take. He predicted Trump would win the Republican nomination way way back, when we all thought he was a total joke candidate. Just because someone writes a boring comic doesn't mean his opinion is irrelevant.

Of course, maybe he is just "persuading" me to think he's a genius...

His interview a few months back on the Tim Ferriss podcast was fascinating, never knew what an odd dude he was.

And see this is where I kind of roll my eyes when people want to make the argument that there's a distinction between bigotry and racism against Muslims.
Ann Coulter has her uses. I used to wonder what Sarah Jessica Parker would look like if she'd had a massive stroke - thanks to Ann, I have a pretty good idea of it.

Because it's possible for her to disparage white Muslims.

Indeed, and what a meaningful distinction that is.

I liked this thread a whole lot more when buster wasn't a regular part of it. Guess it's time to take it out of the reading list. Such a shame.

Meh, I think it's kind of nice to have a different point of view in here, even if it is absurd.

Well I guess I was wrong, we may end up with zero debates.

As usual, Hillary & the Dems are trying to rig the debates so 2 are up against major NFL games. Same as last time w/ Bernie. Unacceptable!

Second debate is on a Sunday so obviously football then too. Third is a Wednesday so I'm not sure what excuse works then. FYI the debate dates were agreed to last September by both parties.

Why would it matter that they're up against NFL games? Plus, why would they do that intentionally? If you're going to kick the other side's ass all over the auditorium, you want more people watching don't you?

What major NFL games are they talking about? Playoffs are after the election. Regular season means they are regular games.

I'm not sure, maybe? Is it possible he is the smartest guy in the room, though? He's been right for a while, when everyone else was wrong. Have you read any of his reasoning, or just his tweets? He could be stringing us [me] along, like I said before, but I think his perspective is worth considering.

Just because a man can't spell, doesn't mean he's not sophisticated in other ways. Could be dumb luck that he's made it this far, but I dunno, could be something else too. Honestly, I go back-and-forth, who knows. Fascinating watching it all play out though.

Do you understand how much Americans love football?

Quote:
That’s its highest-rated season ever, and it has SNF on pace to be TV’s top-rated prime-time show for a fifth straight year, one of only four shows since 1950 to achieve that distinction.

What’s particularly notable there is that Sunday Night Football didn’t just sneak into that top-rated spot, it dominated it. The 22.5 million viewers it received on average put it 28 per cent ahead of the number-two show, which was the eight Thursday Night Football games on CBS (17.6 million).
The one Sunday night game is also a marquee game between the Packers and Giants so it will likely be closer to 25-30M. I'd also argue that there's probably a pretty big crossover between NFL fans and Trump supporters, and I say that as a big NFL fan.

That said, I agree that it favours Trump more to not see him getting killed by Clinton on national TV.

Because the people who support Trump are meat and potatoes, watching football, drinking a Bud type of people. And if the football game is on, they ain't watching Trump.

As long as Trump gets in his race-baiting, xenophobia soundbites he is probably thinking he can win over a few more voters.

He's almost always been right, for almost a year now. His analysis is vastly more sophisticated than you will get in the media.

He kinda reminds me of a Michael Burry type or something.

His biggest problem is that people don't like analysis/conclusions that are contrary to their established notions. It's an uncomfortable feeling being introduced to a new thought that you must integrate. This thread is a perfect example of the phenomenon.

Has this been posted? I'm assuming it has. Harris is one of my heroes.

Harris misses one thing, or at least just touches on it. The biggest danger from a Trump presidency is not nuclear war, or the fact that he is a racist (most of his bloviating is show). It's an ethical concern over who he will select for the supreme court.
