Absolutely, which is why the story is sensationalist. If you want to write a story write the trump is banning media members from his events. Don't write some crap about how they are banning regular citizens.

You can tell Trump is running out of steam when he went after Bloomberg this morning as "Little" Michael Bloomberg. I know it's a long campaign, but recycling nicknames for people is sad.

From a guy like Trump who only cares about how rich he is, it's a bit tough to go after someone worth ten times as much as he is.

This is complete revisionist nonsense. The administration was told time and again that there was no evidence to link Iraq with WMDs or bin Laden and they chose to ignore it or stifle any of the intel that didn't conform to what they wanted. They basically lied to Congress to get them to vote in favour of the war. It was classic neo-con "go with your gut, even if the facts don't match up," that's been a staple of the Republicans since at least the Reagan years.
Not only that but he also sent in far fewer troops than he was advised to which led to the prolonged insurgency, and sent them in underequipped. He also backed a Prime Minister in Iraq and policies that can be directly traced to the rise of ISIS.
Make no mistake about it, Donald Trump might be the worst nominee of the last two centuries but W is easily the worst president in living memory.

Hypothetical question: what if Trump just refuses to do debates? What if he says he won't show up?
What would you do if you were the Clinton camp? Capitulate and bash him for it? Demand they be held and show up anyway and answer the questions next to an empty podium? Have a debate against Johnson?

I think he means hitting them with disparaging comments, not literally.

Trump has to do the first debate at the very least. But I feel there's at least a 50% chance he doesn't do all three. Could see him getting smoked in the first one because he can't just insult her and talk over her, then claiming it's all unfair and rigged and skipping the last two debates. If he does bail maybe we get an extra VP debate in place, but Hillary has no incentive to debate anyone but Trump so if he does bail that will be that.

So you wouldn't say, "look, CNN, whether Trump shows or not, I'll be there to answer any questions you have for me"?

I'm not sure how this would even play out, it'd obviously be unprecedented. I suppose Hillary could have what amounts to a solo town hall instead, but I would think if he does bail that the debates will simply be cancelled by the networks.

That is possible, but here's the other side of that: expectations for Trump will be so low going into the first debate that he can't help but "win" by not drooling all over himself or pooping into his hand and throwing it at someone.
The dangerous game with breaking down someone's image is it can also lower the bar they have to clear.

So Trump said little Michael Bloomberg lmao. I suppose he will clarify in his usual lame duck way and he will scold some reporter what are you stupid i was talking about his size and not his wealth.

Where Bloomberg sits 8th in wealth compared to Trump 336.

The sad reality is that Trump will likely spin it Trump fashion at one of his K.. umm rally's see they don't want me to be there so I'm not going they would be lucky if I was there, people if i was there the ratings would huuuge. No really I mean it they would, they would really believe me really they would. They would have the highest ratings in American history, I mean we are talking bigger than the superbowl, and it would be great and she wouldn't have a chance against no really its true it would be embarrassing it would
I would rather be here with you Americans. Hey you wanna get that guy with sign outta here. Just get him out!!!
And these Trump sheep will just hoot and holler with support .
Then he will go on some tirade about the media elite. Which is just another head shaking repetitive spew from Trump's orange face.

He can't bail out on debates. Can he?
His whole schtick is tough guy nonsense. He would certainly look cowardly if he refused to debate a ! woman!.
He's got his crew of hardcore morons that he knows will never abandon him even if he shoots someone on 5th Avenue, but he's going to need to convince more people than that to vote for him. Clinton gloating on TV that Donald is afraid to talk to her won't help him.

The Conservatives made this mistake with Trudeau. He did ok in the debates, which gave him a boost as the bar had been set so low.
