There are ways to create a "Moose" chant without going "Mooooooooooooooose" and sounding like we're booing a save
This. No one is saying not to cheer. I'd just prefer something original rather than steal something that I never enjoyed to begin with.

I'm going to guess because people don't like the fact that the Canucks actually started something popular. I, for one, care very little one way or the other. Gun to my head, I'd say I enjoy the cheers/chants more than I dislike them.
Bah, Vancouver didn't start it. I remember Cecil Cooper getting COOOOP back in the late 70s/early 80s. Not sure if there is anything that predates him, but it wasn't Vancouver and Luuu.
Still, it feels like borrowing something with Canuck stink on it. I would pass.

YES! Nothing screams super fan base more then a crowd of people piling on the ctrain after the game reeking of moose piss. However it may clash with the already human pee smell of those train cars, but who's keeping score anyway.

You called me a stick in the mud when I opposed the moose chant a month ago here. Not wanting to make a sound similar to booing doesn't suck the fun out of anything. If you think the only alternatives are a golf clap, and a mooooose call, you are missing about 900 other sounds and actions. The 7uuuuu chant was stupid in Vancouver. If you do it in Florida, it's stupid there too. 7uongo goes behind the net, and stops the puck while on the power play. 7uuuuuuuuuu. 7uongo stops a wrist shot from the blue line. 7uuuuuuuuuuuu. 7uongo drinks from his water bottle. 7uuuuuuuuuuuuuuu. In no way do I want to be a part of that. Make a booing sound doesn't build a positive atmosphere.
I'm guessing you think it's awesome to turn around and wave to the camera when you sit in the lower bowl., and think both the Flames and Panthers should have red men to copy the canucks green men.
