The substance abuse program is basically a generic term, they'll cram him in there for his behavior problems as well.
I believe all contracts give the NHL the right to suspend a player indefinitely for conduct issues and send them off for counseling.

Winnipeg's GM should win GM of the year just for getting rid of that guy. So glad he'll never wear the Flames' jersey as long as he's in the league. Some people are just born ######s. It's a shame he got rich playing hockey.
I'm looking forward to seeing how his career goes down the drain as time goes on.

What a piece of ####. Surprised he has not played the race card like when he was dealt.
It just surprises me that Subban , a man who donates so much resources to sick children was often called a thug in the leuage.
This is a prime example of what a thug is . Pure garbage of a human being no two ways about it.

What really makes me sick to my stomach is the quote from the woman that he does this every time he sees her. So making unwanted sexual advances towards woman is as ordinary to Kane as saying "hello." And then you wonder how far he's gone, how many incidents like this were more isolated and didn't end up with bouncers tossing him on his ass.
Hard not to think of him as a monster.
