I still think they should revive the Las Vegas Posse. Great name IMO.

Or even don't have a name. Go soccer style and be the Las Vegas Hockey and Gambling Club, LVHGC for short.
Las Vegas Knights would be a great name

Forget black and gold in homage to the US Military Academy. They should be black and gold in homage to Ted Dibiase.

I couldn't make it but my dad grabbed a couple pics from the open house. The view of the ice are all from the cheapest sections P6. Looks to be a good venue for hockey sight lines of these are the "cheap seats". He didn't take a picture but said even the top row was decent.

As I posted a month ago, won't be surprised to hear Murry's name in one of the high management positions.
" Foley hadn’t thought of owning a pro sports team and it was Craven who said he first planted the seed in the billionaire’s head. “I said to Bill, I used to say it more than once, I said ‘why won’t you buy a pro sports team? What greater enjoyment would have you have being able to pick up the paper in the morning and seeing how your team did or go to watch your team?’” Craven said.
Foley wasn’t dismissive of Craven’s idea, but he didn’t look into it seriously until around three years ago when the idea to bring an NHL franchise to Las Vegas started to make sense to Foley according to Craven."

Looks like 'Knights' is unlikely for the team's nickname; the Hunters are demanding too much money for the rights. Gotta find the money to pay for NCAA college players somehow, I suppose.

what's the probability that the 32nd team is a year away? Expansion draft this year is manageable, though flames are due to lose something intriguing be it a jokipakka, ferland, shinkaruk, poirier, etc, depending on how they want to handle the protection list.

Could get far uglier in the next year or 2, with far more interesting pieces from the prospect pool hitting the "2nd year pro" threshold...

That is why I was hoping for two this year. I would rather lose two players from the currently eligibility list right now than one now and another in a couple years.

Will also be interesting if they get the same guaranteed top 5 pick for their first few years. It is going to make the draft lottery stressful for the Oilers and other bottom teams.

Surprised with how many years of experience Kisio has in the WHL that he couldn't get a more important position with an NHL club. Not that scout isn't important but I would think a Assistant GM position would be possible.
