I hatched an Electabuzz with a 274 CP from a 10 km egg as a level 7.
I just need to walk 6.7 kms to hatch my next egg.

I'm not sure if there are usually a lot of Jigglypuff on Prince's Island but I thought it was funny to see them all over yesterday around where Folk Feat was starting.
Also, so, I chose Squirtle as my starter and have since caught almost a dozen of them. Meanwhile I haven't seen a single Charmanser, and only saw a Bulbasaur turn up briefly in my tracker. Anyone else notice they see their starter a lot more than the other two, or is Calgary jut a hotspot for Squirtle?

I'm given to understand that their 'natural habitat' plays a lot (but not totally) into their spawning. So on an island, you'd see more water based ones. In a forest, those sort. In residental/field type ones.

Oh yeah, I know. Should've said I'm not surprised I've seen them on the Island, but I've also been all around downtown and my neighbourhood and just keep seeing Squirtle haha

Is there a way to tell what you have hatched? They don't appear in the journal. I've apparently hatched pokeman while I wasn't paying attention and the egg is incubated but I can't tell what I have hatched. ??? Thanks.

you put the egg into the incubator and walk. Once you've walked the 2/5/10 km, the egg hatches ... you'll see an egg plastered over your screen and the word "Oh?", you tap the egg so it breaks and then you'll see the Pokemon you've hatched. The sequence will look something like this ... it's pretty much impossible to not see it.
Hatched another 10 km egg today ... for once it wasn't a Magmar, but an Eevee oh well. At least I could evolve it into a Jolteon to complete my Eevee collection. Had a 100 percent success rate with the Pyro/Rainer/Sparky nicknames, that trick definitely works.

And if you did somehow miss the egg hatch, you can sort your Pokemon by what you've added most recently
If it's still in the incubator it hasn't hatched yet. Sometimes it'll say 2K/2K as if it's complete, it'll just a a minute or less to hatch

Also, Pokeman or pokemans isn't a thing. It's just Pokemon for singular and plural

Thanks my phone seems to be auto correcting pokemon. Also thanks on the recent tip, that helped me determine it was Meowth.

I find with a lot of pokemon, once I catch one they are more common. There have been quite a few that have been on my list of ones around me and never seen them until once I got lucky. Then after that I catch them a lot.

I started with Bulbasaur, but have only seen 1 on my tracker, and caught none. In the meantime I've hatched/caught 6 Squirtles, 2 Pikachus, and one Charmeleon.

And for those in the deep south Spruce Meadows has alot of pokestops. Probably 20 or more, all easily accessed through a short walk, most by drive by as well. But keep in mind that they close the gates around 9 in the evening and you wouldn't want to go there while they are hosting a tournament or anything like that.

It's funny, I'm 27, been playing Pokemon since I was 9, and often call them Pokemans in conversation. Makes me feel like less of a dweeb

Sorry I wasn't trying to single you out there, I'm genuinely trying to let people know. A lot of people had no idea what Pokemon were a week ago

Up to 22 possible evolves for my lucky egg. It's hard to not keep building before springing the egg. Might wait till lunch on Monday since I'm always on top of two lured spots in my building. There's not an evolve time delay is there? I can just smash them all out right away?

Caught a Clefable tonight while at my parents for dinner! No lure, incense or anything special. Was just sitting there and it pops up.
It was only a 32CP one, but still, caught one.

Downloaded the game out of a combination of boredom, curiosity, and drunkenness.
Caught one of the token monsters they give you right away. Was mildly entertained.
Now, to keep playing, it wants me to go down to my hotel lobby to catch another monster.
@#$& that. That's a lot of effort.
How did this ever catch on?

Play it in a park with dozens of other people playing it and it might change your opinion. If not, that's cool too. It's definitely not for everyone nor intended to be a "play casually while at home" game. If that's the experience you would rather, you're better off getting into the Gameboy/DS/3DS Pokemon games (They are excellent if you're into RPGs)
