Our company is trying to implement SAP yet won't listen to how our group operates. It's going to be a nightmare.

I was in Saskatoon last week visiting my parents and the mall by their house (Lawson Heights Mall) which has had a Safeway there since the early 80's is going to close so that Sobey's can build a new location on the other end of the same mall in a space that was vacated by Target. It makes no sense especially since the Safeway was just renovated a few years ago and they definitely don't need more space.

Yup. Seems like SAP killed Safeway

It sure didn't help Target.

Well. That was a fascinating - and depressing - read.

Soooo much of this is familiar to me. I don't think the average consumer knows just how much complexity is involved in keeping their favorite product on the shelf. Great read

With the new price reduction promo at Safeway/Sobeys, I do notice a lot of things that I used to buy on sale only is actually pretty decently priced at regular non-sale price now. Should have done this a long time ago.

If you're not online shopping for groceries by now you're wasting your time at Safeway.

Nothing says hipster more than a truck delivering organic somethings.

Get your produce from a fruit and vegetable shop, meat from a butcher, bread from a bakery and then order everything else online.

The Westhills Superstore is a gongshow every night. And due to the large number of retirees in the area, it's usually a zoo during the day too, even weekdays. There's really no good time to go there.
