Link includes picture of Kane getting handcuffed when he turned himself in.

Quote:
The attorney said it is his understanding that Kane will face one misdemeanor count of criminal trespass and up to four counts of non-criminal harassment.

The allegations stem from an incident early on the morning of June 24 at the Bottoms Up bar, for encounters involving Kane, three women and a bouncer, sources familiar with the case told The Buffalo News.

Kane put his hands on four people at the bar early that morning, including the bouncer and three women, according to police sources. Police allege that Kane yanked the hair and grabbed the throat of one of the women, while trying to push her into his car.

Sources familiar with the case told The News Kane will face one count of misdemeanor criminal trespass – for allegedly refusing to leave the bar.

So...hes being charged with refusing to leave the bar but not for grabbing a woman's throat or pulling her hair? Allegedly.

According to this website, it looks like the misdemeanor trespass charge will be up to 90 days in jail for New York state.

Nothing good can come from patronizing Bottoms Up nightclub.

3am at a bar and you're trying to get into your car? Doesn't sound like the wisest choice.

You would think a typical contract would have provision to tear it up for criminal conviction. I would dust off the paper shredder if i were the sabres.

So glad the drama on our team is that The boys were hungover and slept in one day.

From what i had read was there was a good chance Buffalo would trade Kane if found guilty. I can't see any team wanting to take on this problem child. If somehow he can be traded, what would the return be? A crap contract and late round pick?

Benning would initially offer Sbisa, but then add a 2nd round pick to consummate the swap.

“The bouncer told him to knock it off,” one of the sources said of Kane’s alleged harassment of the women. “He put his hands on the bouncer, who could have crushed him, but the guy didn’t want to hurt him. It’s all on tape.”

So in the first time in history a bouncer shows a little restraint? Coincidentally it's against a bigger guy who put his hands on him.

Someone would. I think that someone will be... Buffalo. I think they'll give him one more chance. If you want to boil it down to an equation of sorts you'd boil it down to: (E.Kane Talent Level) X (% chance he cleans up his act) < Projected Talent Level of Likely ROI.

I suspect he will... albeit in the form of court ordered therapy.

Coincidentally it's against a celebrity (who was already defended by the bar owner).

Good chance that bouncer was told not to mess with Kane, in my opinion.

I don't think a bouncer would get the typical protection they get if they beat up a celebrity.

How does Kane get a 5 year, $6 million dollar contract?

Thats pretty much Kane's whole story though and I'd be getting tired of it and if I were an NHL GM I'd probably want no part of him.

His best season has been 74GP and 57 Points, his first season in Winnipeg.

From there his stats are pretty underwhelming. His story is just 'potential.' What if one day he puts it all together?

I know hes only 24 but hes still 24. Hes injured a lot, he doesnt produce a lot. He seems to cause a lot of problems.

GMs would put up with a lot of crap to have a 57 point guy on their team.

But he isnt though. That was 4 years ago. He hasnt come anywhere close to that ever since. His best after that is 41.

Kane has played 7 seasons in the NHL. One time he hit 57. This seems like picking the outlier and expecting it to be the norm.
