One of these things is causing the other.
People can't have it both ways.

Exactly, all of these maps are querying the Pokémon servers on a regular basis and the other hack that shows all of the pokemon on your computer within so many steps is constantly hitting the servers, add the normal player base and you can see why nothing works.

Just hit lvl 12, dropped a lure, and caught a Dragonite CP 750. Pretty sweet!

I can't help but wonder as a watch packs of people playing Pokemon, whether or not we are witnessing a revolution in entertainment. Augmented realty and geocaching are not new concepts. Nevertheless, Pokemon may have exposed the potential of this market for both consumers and producers. It will be interesting to see how this will develop.
If this trend continues, it might be extremely helpful for our obesity problems. On the negative end distracted driving has definitely increased.
Not only is the game interesting and engaging, but the context is also fascinating.

Reason: Capitals at the beginning of sentences is nice.

^ Can easily eliminate game play functionality at speeds over x km/h.
I realize this means passengers (of any type) can't play, but so be it.

^ I wish they would. Living in a small town with spread out Pokestops, you see MANY people driving and playing. Its actually kind of terrifying, since so many people are walking the same area and are distracted themselves. That said, its only a matter of time before Cops start hanging out by Pokestops handing out tickets.

It's not going to change anything. It's a fad, like the Wii.

^ Would be simple enough to have the map work, like any GPS, to allow driving to a pokestop - but not allow Pokemon to appear while above x speed.
The little one plays while we are rolling down main arteries and catches Pokies at 110km/hr
I'm not sure that is necessary.

Was out pokemon-ing last night with the fiance and watched a girl almost swerve off the side of the road with her phone in her hand.
At least she then stopped, parked and got out to catch whatever she was trying to catch.

just dropped a lure while eating lunch at OJs in Quarry Park.
was amazing how many people stopped by and how many people on the patio were either playing or talking about it (some positive, most negative).

Somehow I'm not surprised a bunch of older engineers and healthcare people would be annoyed with this game. (I say this because that's the general work population of Quarry Park)

I did exactly this at pulchinella at lunch. Funny to see so many people walking by just stop and loiter for a few minutes. Caught enough drowzee over lunch to upgrade to a hypno.

yup, pretty much dead on.
One guy was going off on how his kids are playing and he thinks it's stupid.
I almost asked him if he thought his kids might enjoy doing something like that WITH their dad, but I don't think he would have understood what I was getting at.

How many evolves should I have ready to go before I pop my lucky egg?
Was thinking of dropping a lure as well during that time.

Ugh, I wish I had thought before popping a lucky egg.
Only had one 10k egg hatch.

Enough to eat up the entire 30 mins for max effectiveness. Just evolve 20-30 pidgeys, weedles, and other plentiful pokemon to their middle evolution.

Anyone an artist? Thinking of commissioning a mural on the side of my house so it turns into a Pokestop.
