Now a clutch single for Pillar, 5-1 Jays, runners on the corners. Nice.

Just the one guy does. And Gibbons probably didnt call for it. Stro just knew he should.

And JD hits it almost out.

I think this is the type of game Storman needs to play regularly. In and around the zone to keep the pitch count down, and not be focused on strikeouts only. Lean on the defense to help him out and just keep it in the yard. One run on 6 hits to this point means he's hittable, but is spreading out those hits effectively.

The guy makes too many mistakes when it comes to fundamentals. A guy in his position just needs to come in and do all the little things right. Don't hurt the team. Instead we see
- Poor at bats
- Inability to move the runner
- Throwing errors
- Baserunning errors
Can't have that. Not good enough.

Man, Stro is a pretty heads up base runner. Has had a great day offensively.

Even in a resounding win, our bullpen can still look like a pile of dog ####. This really needs to be resolved. We are going to be in a three horse race here, and I don't want to tempt fate with a Wildcard game.

LOL. The bullpen hasn't been lights out, but its no longer the garbage it used to be. Since the All-star break (including today), they've given up 1 earned run in 5 games. Not exactly terrible work.

And yes, I know inherited runners are an issue, but that's them getting put in a bad spot from the starters.

Cecil has been bad all season. Gibbons gave him the lowest possible leverage situation to pitch in and he was again, not good. I am sure the Jays are looking for other left handed options on the trade market.

Grilli, Osuna, Biagini, Chavez are all decent pieces in the bullpen. Just need to round it out still.

JAYS WIN!

They need two bullpen arms. Need a bigtime lefthander, and more fireballer would be the best result.
