After doing quite a bit of reading on the killer, I can find very, very, very little evidence that he was a practicing Muslim.

I can't image how people born in impoverished countries with poor education, human rights, and little upward mobility would hold retrograde opinions about social issues. If only they could bootstrap themselves out of a myriad of problems and fix their stone age backward mentalities.

Do you extend this sympathy to poor, white Americans from regions of the country with little opportunity for the uneducated?

That's a nice sentiment and all, but you have to look at the leadership of those impoverished countries and their religious and community leaders who gain a great deal of wealth and power by keeping those people in those spots.

Its not all about the big bad Western Powers that causes terrorism and extremism.

Its some power mad Iman with an agenda, or some President for life with 20 Swiss Bank Accounts that are doing the damage.

Its easy to sell some stupid uneducated kid on the glories that paradise is a better option then living on this world and all he has to do to get there is strap this here dynamite vest on and go kill some kids.

If that's the case, what could be the motivation for a suicidal and murderous rampage? I haven't read anything about the terrorist except that his name is Mohammad.

Yes I do. We might make fun of Southerners or whoever, but fact remains everyone sees things through the lens of their education and personal experiences. I don't expect people with little to no education to hold enlightened views about social issues. Would any of us hold progressive enlightened views on anything if we grew up dirt poor with a grade 5 education? I highly doubt it.

Starting to look like he had help, as he sent out a text message asking for more weapons
