Why aren't the anti-cop knobs from this threading jumping in on the "Shooting in Inglewood" thread. Poor "Kilo" needs someone to stick up for him. Come on Pepsi Free et al.

He acted like a prick because Don Lemon has been very pro BLM and refuses to take any criticism on it on the air. Don Lemon is the prick and if he doesn't start being professional and allowing both sides of an argument to he heard he'll be doing the weather in Alaska.

I don't watch CNN so I don't know what Lemon is usually like on air, but right from the start he is so aggressive and combative. I understand that the sheriff is upset after what has been happening to police officers but I don't see how his attitude could help the situation. It comes across to me as your typical prick cop who can't handle anyone disagreeing with him or asking him "Why?"

Wouldn't it have looked a lot better if he was calm and cool. He just seems like another hot-head which I don't think the cops want people seeing them as at the moment.

I think that sheriff went into that interview expecting a confrontation with Lemon, and he didn't get what he was expecting.

But at the same time, I can understand what the Sheriff was saying and why he's angry.

At the end of the day, we might see a counter protest by the Cops to BLM in which their effective response might be to refuse to patrol the more dangerous neighborhoods, and define what they believe is safe and unsafe.

Gang shootout in South LA, that's not safe for the cops so they're not going to respond.

Riot breaks out at a protest, they might let it burn itself out.

At the end of the day, its just as heart breaking to see the reaction of the families of the young men killed by the cops as it is to read things like the tweet by one of the officers killed in Louisiana where he didn't feel like part of the community anymore.

^ I beleive that was the situation during the baltimore riots. Police stepped down their presence and it led to one of the deadliest months baltimore had seen in years. It really is a tough situation. I understand why they are angry, but to villify all police is not the answer. An us vs. them mentality can spiral out of control real quickly. If anything it may become much more dangerous for residents in those communities if they decide to pull out.

This is heartbreaking, one of the murdered officers had this message posted on his Facebook the other day...

RIP, seems like he was a good guy!

If the sheriff had something along these lines...something genuine and heartfelt, I'm sure he would have won over a lot more people. At least made people think about the cops point of view.
