Rare Flames jersey or random Beer League jersey?
Was just looking through Ebay for some vintage Flames gear and came across this jersey. Buddy had made hundreds of sales with a perfect review record and claimed it was a vintage Flames jersey from the VHA days. I've never seen or heard of this jersey before and I'm starting to think its just an old beer league jersey or something.....only cost me $40, so I'm not too worried either way......any help identifying this would be appreciated.

What is VHA? Looks beer league to me.
"Authentic" Victoria Hockey League Flames jersey? Sure.

Pretty sure that jersey has nothing to do with the Calgary Flames.
I've never even heard of the VHA.

The downfall of Vagina Haters Anonymous was organizing into a team with the ironic name "Flames", thus negating the anonymity that was the foundation of the organization.

Definitely beer league. 90's Blues replica. Looks as if Bart Simpson drew the flaming C.

"Authentic Knit" is the brand of jersey. Kind of like a Gildan or some random brand. It's in the pics.
There's a tiny bit of snake oils salesmanship going on, but other than the listing slightly implying NHL because it says "Flames" with a flaming C on it, he's not really lying. But it does have an air of 100% Angus at McDonalds sort of feeling.
It looks like a pretty cool sweater to have in general, even if it's probably a beer league jersey or something.

It isn't a big deal and probably happens a bunch, but that jersey has nothing to do with the Calgary Flames or the NHL. I would characterize it as worse than salesmanship.

Hey, it's better than the current jerseys.
Seriously, though, what is up with that C?

It looks like it was drawn by an epileptic mid-seizure.

To confirm, you are the proud owner of a Cumberland Valley Hockey Assoc. Flames jersey. The next time you are in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania you can wear it with pride.

definitely a 'not pro' jersey. i don't think AK has ever had a license to produce 'authentic' nhl merchandise
that being said - i'm a fan of their jerseys and it's what i use for all my goalie jerseys
