Do it! Just buy them. If you aren't an audiophile these things are great. Being unemployed I have had to take the train downtown for multiple meetings and the wolverines have been fantastic.

I've really been enjoying mine as well. Very comfortable, I completely forget I'm wearing them working out. They never get in the way. Excellent sound quality for <$30.

That's unfortunate. Did you send the Cheetahs back?

That was my worry about the Cheetahs, and the reason why I went with the Wolverines instead. Looks like I was right, lol.

Ordered a set of Parasom A1 buds.
I've had them for a few days now and like them so far. I'm a fan of buds that have a volume control on them. I don't have Jbirds to compare to but I hear a good amount of bass from these and they look very much like Jbirds if that matters. All the different sized cones, wings, and ear hooks should make them fit for most people. For $30 they are pretty good.
I also have a pair of Mpow Seals. These take some getting used to as the first couple of cms from the bud is made of a stiff metal that bends to loop around your ear. They are a little more fiddly to get the buds and the wires aligned in the right place and the buds are a little larger. Once in place though, they don't move.
Between the two, I think the Parasoms will get more use. The control module on the Seals is smaller and therefore maybe better for workouts and such.

The Antelopes are $31. Seems to say that the stiffness is corrected in these.
I nabbed a pair. I am curious to see if they compare with my Sony sport headphones.

I wouldn't recommend swimming in them, but I liked the ability to just leave them on while showering after a workout.

Anyone know of a good, cheap, widescreen display? Specifically looking 21-24". Don't need anything fancy. It will be used in a kitchen on an underpowered all-in-one for stuff like playing music and checking email. The computer can do 1080p reasonably well, but it would probably be better off at a bit lower resolution.

Thanks for the recommendation. I bought a pair and also like them. The volume is loud and clear, the fit is relatively comfortable, and they are dead simple to set up.
The only fault I can find with them (and maybe I just don't know how) is that when using them on a phone call, I don't see a way to mute the microphone.

Random Prime day deal
https://www.amazon.ca/SanDisk-Ultra-...8337250&sr=1-2
$215 for this 960GB SSD is a pretty good deal. Most other places have it around $300+. Good entry level SSD IMO and at a price lower than I have recalled in recent memory. The sandisk 480GB one isn't a bad deal either. I haven't had many issues with this SSD.
I'd even consider this drive over the Crucial MX300 750GB SSD they have today for $180. But I am biased and I don't like Crucial SSDs.
REMINDER: CANCEL PRIME IF YOU DON'T NEED IT AFTER PRIME DAYS PASSES.

It's good for the capacity but pretty slow at about 66% the speed of a Samsung 850 Evo (which isn't even their pro version).

Agreed. I like the EVO for speed, but at $205 for the 500GB right now, it's cheaper to go with the Sandisk. I mainly use the Sandisk for breathing new life into older computers/laptops and not for performance purposes. I own both side by side. You can tell a difference if you have both computers doing similar things side by side but probably won't notice significant differences until hardcore programs are used (gaming, rendering etc.). Easily enough for surfing and basic stuff though. Also saves me a hell of a lot of grief when fixing family members computers because I don't have to blindly wait for a slow HDD or hybrid HDD to crawl by.
That being said this SSD still easily blows mechanical drives out of the water in terms of performance.

Yeah I'm thinking I might bite just for the size. I could actually have my whole Steam library installed and not worry about it.

Why don't you like Crucial?
The MX300 750GB is like 20% faster for $35 less.
