Deutschland Uber Alles!

Can they kick off early? The wait is killing me.

Howedes in for Hummels and Can in for Khedira. Muller up top with kroos pulling the strings.

Lots of nervous energy.

I do like the fact that Germany have only allowed 1 goal in the entire tournament and it was a penalty.

Kante on the bench, Pogba-Matuidi-Sissoko in midfield. Don't get Deschamps' love for Sissoko at all.

Their road is not lost on me. They were very fortunate.

Don't mind me - I'm just bitter that Italy had one of their best group stage performances that I can remember and the reward was a bracket that would have taken beating Spain, Germany, France, and Portugal over a two week span to win the Euro Cup.

Great game so far. This is like NHL finals for the right to play the AHL champion for the "hockey" championship.

The officiating is rather French to help keep things balanced.

Australia and Ukraine in 2006 knockout stages on way to World Cup. It all evens out eventually.

That was the point - didn't Howedes replace Hummels due to suspension.

Germany needs to stop defending corners with their hands above their heads.

seeing it again in the replay, that's a brilliant penalty call. Kudos to the ref.

from missing penalties to stupidly putting hands up in the box

has there ever been a bigger big game bottler who has a full trophy case?
