on 960, Treliving also says they are also adding a few faces to Stockton's staff... wouldn't confirm or deny if they are hiring one or more assistants for the Flames. Says they have a plan and will reveal it when they are ready to.

He had a good season 2 years ago and I think it was a big 2nd half push with Mark Stone huge 2nd half. What do you guys think of him. He kinda whine about Ottawa after he was let go.

I think despite finishing ahead of us and having more talent than the Canucks, the Senators were the biggest tire fire in the league in the aspects that you normally associate with coaching.

Yes I just looked up his profile. Carter Hutton and Matt Murray are two of his former "students".

Looks like he played a couple of games for Gulutzan back in their ECHL days in Vegas.

Pretty good testimonial from the reigning Stanley Cup champion...
Quote:
"Colin is a great coach to work with. He is a total student of the game and was born to teach. He has an ability to adapt and adjust to any particular idea, and is a great communicator. He has been a huge factor in my development as a goalie."
-- Matt Murray, Pittsburgh Penguins NHL

My understanding is that if Glen doesn't want him on the coaching staff they will find another job for him in the organization, so he will be staying on, just might not be as a coach.

Could be that he'll be placed in a players development role again as he was in Nashville prior to coming back to the Flames.

FWIW: Sigalet was on the ice a bit today with the players, but Gelinas was not.

I hated Cameron when he was in junior with Mississauga. Played the world's boringiest style. Then he got the Sens job and they were very run and gun. So who knows.

Jerrard was Gulutzan's assistant in Texas, and went with him to Dallas too.

Taking a while to get to 5000

I might have been right? Both for the bench in Calgary, Gelinas to be reassigned?
