My candidate is moving up in the polls:

Poll: 13 percent prefer meteor hitting earth over Clinton, Trump

Seriously, in a country of 310 million people these are the 2 best candidates they can come up with?

Lynch should resign, IMO.

This email story is going to be huge. If the DOJ does indict Clinton, her candidacy is over, and if the DOJ does not indict her, Obama will get blamed for interfering. He is a no win situation.

Such a terrible candidate.
Why should Lynch resign? She didn't do anything wrong and never discussed the case with Bill as she attests to. Bill's guilty of bad form but otherwise it's more of the GOP making a mountain out of a mole hill.

She clearly shouldn't be meeting the ex-president husband of a person under investigation by her office. There may not be anything illegal there, but it's obviously a poor decision.

Trump trying to play off the anti semetic tweet as "a sheriff's star" feels like a real life version of "they were saying Boo-urns". Not the first time he's done something like this and I doubt it will be the last. This is at best pure incompetence by either Trump himself or his staff and at worst more dog whistle garbage to continue playing to the human refuse supporting him in the states.

She didn't decide to meet him. Bill walked onto her plane uninvited and introduced himself.

Ha. For sure. And a sheriff's star has those little circles on the end of the points!

Really though, this story would have been so easy to end:

"We didn't, and still don't think it's an anti-Semitic message, but as soon as it came up we changed the graphic, and we still think Hillary is corrupt".

I gotta admit I never would have noticed it was a star of David. It just looked like an ad for a clearance sale in a local weekly. Donald isn't exactly one for subtlety and I'd be surprised if he did either.

He doesn't have to pander to the rubes who would hear that dog whistle anyway. He's got them locked up already.

Am I the only one who thinks that was a genuine mistake or coincidence? I certainly didn't see it as a Star of David on a pile on money, I saw it as a random shape with money in the background because she's corrupt. I only noticed that part when that article talked about what it was. There's lots to criticize Trump on, but I think people are reaching on this one and bashing him just for the sake of bashing him.

I agree. If it wasn't pointed out I wouldn't have noticed.

But how stupid is Trump and his campaign. Just randomly cutting and pasting from the internet. The fact that is started on a white supremacist website just makes his campaign look like a joke.

You also live in a country with far less open antisemitism or over fear of the Jews. Show that to anyone from new York and they'll identify it quickly

I could see it being overlooked. He's playing to the evangelical base. The evangelicals are not going to respond warmly to anti-semitism.

But I immediately noticed the star, so someone in his camp, especially New Yorkers, should have too. Just another boneheaded move.

When you go trolling for copy on neo nazi websites you cannot really feel hard done by when people recognize the racism in the images.

I think this is about the 7th or 8th time Trump has retweeted something that originated from a white supremacist website (as MarchHare points out above), or that was from a Twitter account that believes in white genocide. Once is a mistake or coincidence, twice is pushing that thought, 7 times is....yeah you'd have to be pretty naive to still think it could be an accident. Or it shows Trump is one of the stupidest, least aware individuals alive which isn't much better. He can be duped by anyone basically. Putin is licking his lips.

But white supremacists don't think is a mistake or accident either. They think it's a signal:

The FBI director is having a press conference right now detailing what they found in regards to Clinton's e-mails. Definitely careless at the very least. At the end of the day they will recommend that no charges be laid in connection to the e-mails.

Of course Trump will go off in 3.....2.....1...........

Yeah, it certainly didn't paint her in a good light. Lots of bad judgement to go around. She's lucky they basically say she did a lot of stupid things but they can't prove she did it on purpose. No charges, but it didn't make her look good.

Fortunately, the bar is really, really low this time around. And very probably about to get lower.

The problem with the Clinton thing is that it is sort of viewed in a vacuum. by that I mean yes she was careless and stupid to many peoples understanding. Most people are...so much so that I bet if they really looked into things they'd find nearly every person on capital hill guilty of similar stupidity. Oh they may not have an independent server but they've left documents lying around, sent things they shouldn't have by e-mail, told an aid or person without proper clearance too much over a couple of drinks etc etc etc etc. People in general are lousy at protecting Intellectual property, trade secrets and I'm sure state secrets.

But we don't get to hear all that. At least not yet. My guess is that internally they will be looking into everything and make changes accordingly. Like changes made at several companies...going to China: don't bring your laptop unless 100% necessary. Don't log into any external networks if you do have your laptop. Bring a burner phone if you really need a phone. No attachments to external recipients. etc etc etc

In short, MOST people are "stupid" when it comes to computers, security and e-mail.

In the end it will likely blow over because a good chunk of the population can't work an iphone and are not truly going to hold it against her. At least no one that already isn't. For others on the fence, the knowledge that her heart was in the right place so to speak will be good enough.

It sounds bad for Clinton, but in the end it's worse for the GOP. They've been screaming corrupt, corrupt, corrupt for so long and it turns out she isn't (or at least no proof she is).
