Blues sign Kenny Agostino (one year, 625k)
Eliteprospects list this as "confirmed". Haven't seen it anywhere else yet ...
http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=75015
If true, the Iginla return has now been reduced to Morgan Klimchuk.

Could be a strictly AHL deal. He's listed as a Chicago Wolves player for 2016/17.

I'll never forget Kenny staring at me, unblinking, while I took a photo with Bennett at this past year's Dinos/Flames prospects game at Winsport. He just stared and stared.

Good if it is true. I didn't think Agostino was given a chance here in Calgary.

From what I've heard from someone that's trained a couple Flames, there's a reason Agostino was cut loose. Bad influence possibly.

Not that it makes things better, but for those lamenting what could have been, keep in mind that Bartkowski hasn't really done much in the NHL and is now a UFA for the second year in a row; and Khokhlachev is going back to Russia with a total of zero points in 9 NHL games played. Also, Klimchuk would likely still have been chosen if it was Boston's pick instead of Pittsburgh's.

That's fair, but as you say, all that proves is the other deal Feaster may have lined up for us was terrible too. Bad GMing at its finest.

I don't think any of us would have wanted to be the Flames GM during that period, The team painted themselves into corner after corner, and this was the start of the dismantling.

He wasn't exactly given much to work with on that trade.

Do we have any details on his contract? Want to update the GDT.

Feaster had far from a perfect situation in which to make that trade. Iginla agreed to a trade but only allowed it to a few teams. Iginla was also coming off a bad year, and it was obvious that he was on the decline.
Anyone expecting more than a 1st rounder and a couple of good, but not great, prospects was expecting too much. That was his price and both potential deals reflected that.
