Good contract, but I don't get why the Blues don't have enough faith in a goaltender to ever give him starter money. Reimer now makes $1 million less than Allen. I'd be pissed if I was Jake.
Blues lost Backes, Brouwer, and Elliott recently. Only signed Perron so far. They will probably be worse next year.

Blues continue to get wicked deals on their goaltending.
Can't believe Allen agreed to that without first playing a season as the starter.

Surprised he didn't get more, he pretty much had them over a barrel.

Awesome! That's about the money that Elliott should be getting as well on an extension. This is turning out to be a great day for the Flames!

Nobody forced him to sign the contract. Evidently he's not pissed.

That's because Cali isn't Jake, Jake is Jake. Pay attention to qualifiers!

I know Cali isn't Jake. Which makes me wonder why Cali is being pissed off on Jake's behalf, when Jake isn't even pissed off on Jake's behalf.

Well if I was deemed the starting goaltender by management, I'd want to be paid like a starter. That price is a minimum of $5 million/year. That's the going rate. He undervalued himself to take that contract. His agent sucks too.

There are just 18 goalies in the NHL making $5 million and up. Other starters making less than $5 million: Halak, Dubnyk, Anderson, Talbot, Mason, Ward, Jones, Elliott, Gibson.
