Teams are really realizing that the bottom 6 is no longer the place where you can cram your slow moving grinding crap, you need to have speed and maybe a penalty killing or face off specialist in the bottom of your lineup that can contribute to be a winning team. Chimera kind of fills that need, even at his age.
