The reputation is un-earned for Euro tournaments for sure, they have been getting results there even though they have still never won anything.
They have not been very good this tournament though - very fortunate with the results and the way the bracket worked out for them - 5 matches with 5 draws in regulation time so far is nothing to be that impressed with.
In the end they are smart to play this way though - keep games close and in the end Ronaldo will give you a chance to win every game.

Nope but they're a small country without the rich history of the other big nations. They shouldn't be compared to Germany and other big nations. They're a second tier nation in the game but their results can be put up against plenty of nations. As I wrote above, that result list is pretty impressive.
Except playing like this they are likely gonna get steamrolled by Belgium/France/Italy/Germany.
This is how they played Germany to draw and beat them in qualifying. Sure its not as exciting as it could be but its
better to be calm and pick them apart then force bs plays and end up playing like they did against Switzerland. No one can tell me they were the worse team in this game.

Driving back to Calgary I thought geez Polak must be gutted on the PK loss.
I am hoping Canada Day will be good for me. It is going to be a tough match.

Yeah, I'm definitely just a casual fan who only really gets into the Euro/World Cup, and every time I watch them lately they bug me. I freaking hate Ronaldo, he's such a diva. Combine that with the team being extra divey and always seeming to be involved in boring games, and they've become my most disliked team I think.
It's weird, because regarding the country itself, I'd think it'd actually be one of my most liked teams. But they just seem to really bug me whenever I watch their games. Just a casual fan's perspective..
