Default Evernote pricing changes, free tier nerfed :(

https://blog.evernote.com/blog/2016/...pricing-plans/

I don't use much in Evernote other than the text notes part, but limiting syncing to only two devices pretty much kills it for me, the whole reason I use it is so I can access information anywhere.

Accessing it through the web doesn't count as a device, but still might be time to give OneNote a try.

I really like OneNote (use it at work). If you are in the Apple ecosystem, Notability is another note taking app to check out

I haven't used Evernote in ages. Between Google Docs, Google Keep and not Office Mobile, not sure what Evernote's paid services actually provide above the rest.

Crap. I have a lot of important stuff stored on Evernote.

I don't use it on a regular basis, but its a great place to keep track of some of the bugs we've fixed in our CAM software, as an example.

I really, really tried getting used to Evernote. But in the end I decided it just wasn't very good.

I hesitantly tried Microsoft OneNote, and it is miles better. It did everything I used Evernote for, and does it all much, much better.

OneNote is 100% free, no nagging for upgrade to premium services (though if you want more space, I'm sure that is an option). Clients for Android, iOS, Windows, Mac, Web Browser.

There are also ways to import all your Evernote data. It won't be perfect, but better than doing it manually.

This is interesting. I use evernote and quite enjoy it. Not a power user, more for life (bills, etc).
I will either have to export all my stuff or start paying (I am not opposed to paying for a good product)

Surprisingly Apple Notes has taken over everything I used Evernote for. I generally hate Apple software outside of Garage Band, but Notes works really well for me.

Of course. Because services like these were never profitable.
