Except why would Ned bother ruining his honour for one of Roberts #######s?
Also back then the whole rebellion was because Rhager "kidnapped" Lyanna, who was Supposed to be Roberts wife. If it was Roberts baby, it wouldn't have been a bazterd. They woulda had a shotgun wedding. He got Married to Cersei after the rebellion.

And how good was Ser Davos last night? Liam Cunningham with all kinds of acting during that scene with Jon and The Red Woman. The way he spoke about Shireen, so raw, so real.

Could have been, but then she left him to suffer to death. I don't think those two would be having a great time reminiscing if they met up again.
In seriousness though, since HBO is having a hard time with original series lately, I really, really hope they do a Robert's Rebellion prequel series. That would be awesome.

This has to happen. If not a series then maybe a movie.

There's enough there to warrant a series, at least a shorter one.
The younger years, the growing madness of the king, the tournament, the kidnapping, the killing of the Starks, the rebellion, the north rising up, the battle of the trident and the sack of kings landing.
And to think that people were siding with Cersei half a season ago...
In one episode became arguably the new big bad. Even though she's always been awful, just on the peripheral as others were always the ones in power.
As much as I'm pretty meh about Dany, I'd pay to see her set Cersei ablaze.
That scene where she has Septa Unella reminds me a bit of an equally crazy scene in Rome, where Atia captured and tortured Servilia. Up to that point you knew she was power-hungry, and perhaps "evil", but never really saw the full extent of it.

Late to the party so I don't know if it's been discussed but I got the feeling that Tommen's suicide was also part of Cersei's plan so she could regain the throne. Seeing she knew the prophesy of her children all dying it seems like she just accepted it and felt it was needed for her to move on and take control.

Doesn't track for me. If she wanted him to die she would have let him go to the trial.
I do think she accepted Tommen was going to die eventually though. Didn't seem too choked up about the suicide.

She should also recall the last part of the prophesy, though
To be honest, there was a moment at the beginning when Tommen turned around to go to the trial and The Mountain was there that I though, just for a second that maybe Cersei was sick enough of his BS that she was going to get the Mountain to kill him.
Can you leave book stuff, even the reference of book stuff out. I am pretty sure now how the Cersai plot will go down and I'm pretty sure without looking I can tell you what the last line of the prophecy in the book is.
I got to not read this thread anymore.

But really, no one thinks that's really Robert's son right?
That wasn't just a random cut from baby face to Jon's face. It was pretty obvious.
I don't think it's Roberts son but who's son is it? Did they explain that part in the show? I didn't hear or see anything in the episode to suggest who's son he actually is. All we know is he's Ned's nephew and therefore has Stark blood, but I feel like I'm missing something.
