Or you don't think she's good because she absolutely tore the Oilers apart for being the enduring joke that they are?
So see-through.
What ever you say. I never saw her tear apart the Oilers nor would I care. I don't like any of the hosts really on Sportsnet so it's not just her. I find all the pre games and intermission shows on Sportsnet to be bad this year so I didn't watch much.

That immediately put her a leg up on several of those shills who are too scared to call a spade a spade.

I wasn't a fan of a lot of Sportsnet's hack staff. Leah was knowledgeable, but I find her a lot like Jeff Marek. They take themselves a little too seriously and it appears they have no personality. At the very least take the time to blink. But what do I know, I was also hoping they'd get rid of John Shannon and keep on PJ Stock (the little guy knows his stuff, and his genuine excitement level is entertaining).

If they were ever looking for a former-player to host, I like what I've seen of Tessa Bonhomme on TSN.
I like Leah and like others are bummed she's gone but the TSN girls are really good. Outside of the obvious that they are easy on the eyes they are all pretty knowledgeable about sports as well as they at times have two of them doing sports desk and I actually feel they are stronger than the male hosts.

I was never a huge fan, but IMO she was the third weakest broadcaster on that panel, regardless of the content of that clip. I'm glad Sportsnet is purging their on-air "talent", and am hoping the list of names looking for employment will continue to grow, with MacLean, Shannon, and Garrett next to go.
But she's a horrible broadcaster. Stutters and pauses, can't get her point across clearly, and generally has a lot of 'fluff pieces' than any real news or insight. She's no where near Leah IMO
I don't remember those issues when she was on the panel. I will admit she's a not a good interviewer, but I think that's because she has a pretty boring personality that doesn't translate well into what's expected of her job. Leah meanwhile has a more lively outgoing personality which is perfect for doing interviews, and she's knowledgable and articulated enough to push out more than fluff pieces. To me Cassie and Leah are more suited for each others jobs

Wait... are you saying Jeff Marek has no personality? Marek is like the king of old-school hockey stories. How do you not like the guy?

TV Marek is different than podcast Marek. Way more people have seen TV Marek. And he still takes himself pretty seriously.
Yeah, okay, fair, but which do you think is the real Marek? TV Marek is just doing what producers tell him to. I personally wish they'd let the guy off the leash and just be himself. He's way more fun to listen to than just about anyone else on the panels.

Then he would just sound like Ken Reid referencing Nova Scotia hockey players.

Sutter on NHL Network radio a little while ago said he had been let go as well. I didn't hear the whole thing but mentioned after yesterday he was looking for employment .
