Nothing this year that rivals the unbridled awesomeness that was "Nytewolf" and "Clarksicnarf" in 2014. You're slipping, Alberta.
And the only possible scenario in which naming your kid Jaxxon is acceptable is if he has a twin brother named Jaxxoff.

Sometimes I wonder if people realize they're naming a human being, and not a gerbil.
Like this person will have to put their ####ty name on a resume one day.

Loved when Alfonso Ribeiro celebrity guested on Whose Line and they were going to sing about him so Ribeiro was asked for his best pickup line and said confidently, "My name is ALFONSO."
Shame if there are no Alfonsos are on this list, with the dance moves that man has.

Doesn't the X and S make those names insanely redundant.

When we named our son this year, we had two criteria:
1) It couldn't be in the top 25-50 names of previous years (wanted something relatively unique, after my wife grew up with a name that resulted in there being 3 with the same name in every class in school).
2) The name was scrapped if "I grew up with a ____, they were a jerk" was a true statement.
3) It had to pass the Resume/Business card test.

I think most of these kids will end up calling themselves Mike or Steve in 15-20 years.

My son is one of the 56 boys named Everett from last year. I like that it hasn't exploded in popularity.

I know two Jaxon and one Jaxson. All of whom told me that they chose their babies names because they were original. I didn't have the heart to tell them.

My daughter wasn't born in Alberta, but her name is a "1" in Alberta (Fawn). I am a little surprised there weren't more. I knew it wouldn't be super common but I have met a few in my life including one from Brocket years ago.

New son was one of 30 "Miles" in 2015. Solid middle of the road #173 ranked, non weird spelled name.

The director of the Warcraft movie, Duncan Jones, is David Bowie's son. At birth, he was named Zowie Bowie. As a child, he went by the name of Joe.

There's a kid on that list named Psalmdavid.
Googling Psalm David gets you to the 23rd psalm, which for those of you like me who don't know these things, is the one that includes the "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death....". I've only ever heard that at funerals, and during funerals in movies and on television.

Seems a little odd to saddle a tyke with that kind of handle. But I guess the person who would name their kid that is a little odd, so it makes sense?
