Seeing Craig Button had the Flames picking Juolevi in his mock draft it may have spooked the Canucks. You have to wonder if that was by design by the Button brothers to make sure that the Canucks wouldn't trade down.

exactly... you don't rise to being projected #4 being a crappy skater...

his skating isn't elite but as many have mentioned, its not like he's awful either...easilly correctable and i imagine he'll do fine in the NHL at least skating wise.

Looking forward to 17+ years of CP posters butchering the spelling of his last name.

Tkachutchk! Tkatchuk! Ktchathck!

I'll tolerate his name simplified to Chuk if it helps. But even that will become Chuck...

I'm waiting for the inevitable superfluous Us and Os to find there way in there somehow.

Regarding the player, I'm not expecting him to make the roster out of camp. It will be a nice bonus if he gets a 9 game audition or sticks around even longer.

Never much cared for his old man, a hated rival, but, I hope the kid works out for you guys.

I do hope that the majority of Flame fans can be patient and give him time to grow into the next level, without expecting him to be his father, right out of the gate.

Tkachuk is Ukrainian name meaning Weaver. Tkachuk and Tkaczuk are different transliterations of cyrillic spelling of the same name. Fwiw the correct spelling is Ткачук.

They were the only two in the phone and hung up at the same time. Maybe he was ordering pizza. You don't have to believe me I really don't care. If you were there you would know it was very easy to tell. I watched Brad all night.

I always thought it was a Ukrainian name, but I heard that Keith Tkachuk identifies strongly as an Irish American (Irish on his mother's side).

Does anyone have video of them interviewing Tkachuk after he was picked? I just saw the video with them interviewing Treliving.

I don't think he was interviewed right after the pick. Here's a ton of videos and interviews though:

also interviews with Fox, Tuulola and Mattson.

To be fair you getting so worked up about it is part of what makes Colbourne so much fun.

Tzachuck can only hope to be so lucky. Kid looks good and I never thought he'd drop to the Flames. Lucky #6 strikes again, we hope.

Noticed that sureLoss posted in 2016 highlight videos by bigwhite06 in the OP, but there's also one from his 2015. So the first half of this season.

Looks dominant in tight which lines up with Kelly McCrimmon's claim that he's as good as anyone he's seen "hashmarks in".
