Borgstrom is interesting because this is his 2nd year of eligibility. Which is somewhat rare in the 1st round.

Borgstrom looks like he's 12. He makes Briere look like a teenager.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

It's pretty crap from here on. There are only a handful of decent prospects left. The Flames trading 35 is a great idea because Elliott will likely have more impact than anything available then. Wouldn't expect much from 54, 56, or 66. In terms of the types of guys available, you're looking at the same guys that were available in the 90-120 range last year.
There are a couple guys I'm hoping fall to there, but it's a toss up.
If the Flames get one or more of Cameron Morrison, Joey Anderson, or Evan Fitzpatrick there I'll be thrilled.

He's playing at University of Denver starting next year. That will help his NA game develop a lot. Interesting pick. Not going to say it's great, but the kid has some potential.

I hate the crap that is being promoted on the draft in regards to Hockey USA development and the number of players being drafted from the US. Take a closer look at the draft list and you'll find a majority of these kids have Canadian fathers, so could have dual citizenship, but selected the American side because it is easier to make their team than the Canadian national team. The jingoism is annoying.

Pretty silly for both Columbus and Vancouver not to trade down if those were their players they wanted.
Poor asset management, likely got greedy. But overall just simply leaving value on the table by both teams. Just stupid.

Bittersweet. The excitement I should be feeling for Tkachuk has been infected with the dread of Puljujarvi being an Oiler. I just can't shake it. Only time will heal this wound.
