I can agree with your post, but the prices for those guys seemed to be through the roof. All the talk about expansion draft making some good goalies going for cheap was not to be. Gm's stood their ground. Elliots salary for next year is incredible.

Flames were able to afford the price for Elliott since they have multiple seconds due to the Hudler and Russell deals. Well done, Treliving. Also, thanks for getting business done about an hour into the draft so I don't have to watch the rest of the first round broadcast.

What's not to like? Low cost to acquire and his salary fits well within our Cap. Overall BT did a great job getting Elliot.

Love it. When I first heard Elliott as an option he immediately became my first choice. Veteran guy, part of some solid teams, 1 year for cheap, extension probably wouldn't kill your cap if you wanted it, low aquisition cost. Checks a whole bunch of boxes. I am excite!
