Yep, happy with that pick. Got to think they have spoken to Elliott about an extension as well.
Welcome Brian Elliott.

Good deal considering what the other teams were rumoured to be asking for.
We might see them acquire a backup other than Ortio who can carry the workload since Elliot has never played 60 games in a season.

Sweet! Good goalie, cheap contract, chip on shoulder.

Great move! Better cap hit and acquisition cost it seems like.

I wasn't a giant Elliott guy until the playoffs. He was great in the playoffs this year.

The chances of a 2nd rounder even playing in the NHL is like 50/50
let alone a quality starting goal tender

Steep price?
Two 2nd rounders for Eller is a steep price. One 2nd for a legit starting goalie is a great value deal!

How is that steep? That's a great price. We got a second for Berra...a project at best. We get a solid NHL goalie for a second rounder.

Exactly how I feel as well, however, it was Bishop's extension demands that were the sticking point, not the trade cost for Tampa.
I have a feeling Bishop is going to be in a tough spot next off-season if he sticks to that demand.
