Who do I send my letter too?
From the mothers testimony today; if she could go back in time and do something differently, she would. The logical follow up questions are 'What would you do differently? And how are you dealing with your surviving children in regards to medical care?'

Honestly, the way they've gone about this since their conviction demonstrates to me that they're still a huge risk to their surviving children.

Wait... they've been convicted and they're allowed to keep looking after their other kids? How is this a thing?
Disclaimer: I haven't been paying attention to this trial (too depressing) and know almost nothing about family law (same reason).

No, the kids have been living with their aunt from what I understand. I'm just saying if they give the kids back after the conviction, I have no faith that these people have learned anything from this experience.

I suspect if they had taken their child to the doctor at least for a few well child visits, the verdict would have been different, but the blatant thumbing of their noses at the medical system played a lot into the verdict.

Outside of not vaccinating I'm not sure that that's unreasonable. For the most part we are a bunch of hypochondriacs with babies. They really do outside of a few things take care of themselves.

To me this is the key part of the trial. If one of their kids get sick what will they do next time?
Because taking away the kids from what are loving but idiotic parents will do some damage to them. The question is is this damage greater than the risk of harm from having poor/no medical care.

I like this judge:
Valerie Fortney @ValFortney 1m1 minute ago
Judge says public opinion, social media or otherwise, is like conducting a trial "by Cross Country Checkup."
Valerie Fortney @ValFortney 1m1 minute ago
Judge notes the letters were generated by Stephans' Facebook page. Letters from people who don't know them are irrelevant, he says.
Valerie Fortney @ValFortney 3m3 minutes ago
Stephan sentencing hearing resumes. Judge announces he cannot admit the 500 letters of support as part of the hearing.

Judge's verdict not likely for several more minutes; accused aren't here yet, neither is defence lawyer.

I checked Stephans' new website before court; says David was "targeted" and "profiled" by fed gov't before Ezekiel's death.

I can't f-ing stand these two. I hope it a stiff penalty, as I can't imagine how inflating it would be to the community of people that support them if they got a slap on the wrist. For the whole 'natural remedy' community, for that matter.

They killed their own child through neglect. What is wrong with people?

Some of those tweets are horrifying. How do you let that happen to your own son and do nothing?
