Also, why would you trade for Hamilton's brother as well. Doesn't make sense if DH was to be traded.

IMO this is simply media conjecture.
Agreed. It's a neat idea, but I'd rather just keep Hamilton and draft Nylander.

Besides the obvious value and upside of Hamilton, why help the Oilers?! #4 for Hamilton seems almost fair value wise. If our arch rivals want the missing piece to their puzzle, it should cost them something outrageous, like Drasaitl AND #4

I really hope they don't trade Hamilton outside of Edmonton chucking in Draisaitl or Klefbom with the 4th, which would be completely ridiculous on their part.

It makes zero sense to trade Hamilton who is still improving and not even in his prime yet for a draft pick. Hamilton is in the exact age range we need going forward.

If one of the big three defencemen is moved, it's gotta be Giordano.

I've been in the Nylander camp because hes a right winger and fits our top line but IF we did that trade I'd actually take Brown and Sergachev. The two highest ceiling players outside the top 3. Sergachev can be Doughtie and Brown can be Thornton. Both are huge and if they put it together can be 2 of the best picks from this draft.

That being said - lets not give Dougie Hamilton to EDM or VAN...that goes without saying. CBJ or bust.

You know, that's honestly some weak sauce #### from McKenzie there. "Some say" he's available but Calgary says he isn't?

Creating rumours, pretty unlike his usual stuff.

As it was mentioned earlier, it boils down to Hamilton and Nylander or Tkachuk and Juolevi. I'll take Hamilton and Nylander every day of the week!

I wish McKenzie would pick his spots and his conjecture a little better. He should know that what he says some other schmuck is going to run with and create a story out of nothing. I can see why Friedman made the conscious decision to reign in his exposure to maintain his credibility. McKenzie says something like this and it gives the story some credibility when all he was doing is spitballing and not really thinking things through.

Hamilton to the Oilers make me very nervous, even if we walk away from the draft with Joulevi and Tkachuk
