They are also losing more than they benefit from being in the EU financially? John Oliver said only racists want to leave when in reality it's because they want their economy to remain stable and the resident population influx is getting out of hand.

Another thing to consider is the fact they can always go back to the EU if leaving doesn't work out as they envisioned.

Teach the world English and French, but don't be surprised when their descendants want to live in England and France. Now every country in the EU has to deal with it.

So weird, despite what is reported in this thread, the major news outlets won't call it!

I am confused!

Going from the major UK sites, Leave is slightly overperforming based on initial results. That plus rain in London reducing turnout has Leave the slight favorites.

Watching after hours prices on the stock markets was nuts. I had set myself up for remain, but have a large gold position as a hedge. Gold was up $35 from the low of the day and oil down $2. Tomorrow could be a big sell off.

This is so much fun to watch

Gold coming down... .I am so glad the TSX isn't open right now, I would totally be consistently caught on the wrong side of the swings loosing money left and right

It's days like today I get really upset that the government won't let me trade currency.

Oxford constituency has 70% remain. So the smartypants are voting stay. Meanwhile, Sunderland, a working class constituency has 61% leave.

Basically a dead heat right now. 50/50

Ya, there isn't much to choose between them now. I suspect it's going to end within 1-2%. My money is still on stay.

Remember Quebec?

London and the SE not counted yet, and that has to be "Stay" by a healthy margin, no?

Looks like England wants to leave and everyone else wants to remain. Most of the uncounted votes are in England.
